How long it takes
The technical check of the installation is mandatory every 2 years and the technical overhaul every 10 years — plus after any event that could affect its safety, or if the installation has been unused for more than 6 months.

Worth knowing
It may only be done by an ANRE-licensed operator, which you choose. The work is only done under a service contract signed with the company beforehand. The report is drawn up in a copy for each party, and one goes to the gas operator together with the record sheet — if it never gets there, as far as they are concerned the check never happened.
