Buying a Romanian road vignette online: what to know
How long it takes
You buy it online, on etoll.ro or in the TollRo app, in minutes. For cars the periods are: 1 day, 10 days, 30 days, 60 days and 12 months.
What it costs
The price depends on your car's emission class: the cleanest ones pay least, and electric cars get the lowest rate. If the emission class isn't known, the highest rate applies. The exact amount is on etoll.ro.
Worth knowing
Nothing goes on the windscreen, it is electronic. After buying, check on the CNAIR page that it is registered to the right plate — one wrong letter means you have no vignette at all.
